AI visibility tools or agencies? Prices in Denmark in 2026

2026-09-10 · Martin Nymann · 8 min reading

A Danish agency that works on your AI visibility on an ongoing basis costs between 495 and 1,000 DKK per month, excluding VAT; a tool starts at €39. The difference isn’t the price, but who carries out the work — and how much of it can be automated. Prices taken from the providers’ own websites, checked on 10 September 2026.

Key takeaways

  • The price difference is smaller than expected: the smallest Danish agencies charge 495–579 DKK per month excluding VAT, whilst a tool starts at €39. You’re not choosing between cheap and expensive.
  • The work is divided into three parts. Measurement and technical corrections can be fully automated; content and judgement cannot.
  • Frequency is the main practical difference: a monthly agency report may leave a problem unresolved for up to four weeks.
  • Choose an agency if you don’t want to write the copy yourself, want someone to call, have a specific situation, or are purchasing several services at the same time.
  • Neither a tool nor an agency can promise that AI will recommend you. The technology predicts that you will be read and cited — not recommended.

A Danish agency that continuously measures and improves your AI visibility costs between 495 and 1,000 DKK per month, excluding VAT. A tool that carries out the measurement and technical corrections automatically costs from €39. The difference isn’t the price — it’s who does the work and how much of it can be automated.

Choose the agency if you want a person to write the copy, attend meetings and take responsibility. Choose the tool if you want the measurement and technical corrections carried out automatically every week without meetings. Most smaller businesses need the latter first — because the technical aspects are what determine whether AI can even read your content, and that is also what a machine can do better than a human. All prices in this article are taken from the providers’ own websites and were checked on 10 September 2026.

How much does it cost to get help with AI visibility in Denmark?

There are figures to show why the technical aspect carries so much weight. Profound analysed 11.84 billion AI citations across the major search engines in 2026 and found that around 57 per cent of the citations point to the brand’s own website. Our own scan of 465 Danish company websites in July 2026 put the figure at 61 per cent. So what determines whether you’re used as a source lies on your own website — not in a dashboard.

The price range is wider than most people realise — from under 500 DKK per month to over 35,000. Here’s what the market looks like right now:

Solution Price per month Who does the work? How often are measurements taken?
Tools (Geoa)299–€199.The machine — you approveWeekly to daily
Cited495 DKK.One personMonthly
Visible579 DKK.Local agencyRepeated measurements
SETIONFrom 1,000 DKK.AgencyBy arrangement
SEO specialistOver 35,000 DKK.StaffOngoing

Two things are worth noting in the table. Firstly, the two smallest Danish agencies are closer in price to a tool than many might expect — this is not a choice between cheap and expensive. Secondly, the column furthest to the right is the one that most often determines the value: a monthly measurement picks up a problem up to four weeks after it arose.

What exactly are you paying for?

The work involved in AI visibility falls into three parts, and they are not all equally difficult to automate:

  1. The measurement — are you mentioned when someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google about something in your industry? This is purely data collection, and a machine can do it more frequently and more cheaply than a human.
  2. Technical fixes — can AI crawlers even read your page? Robots.txt, structured data, llms.txt, server-rendered content. This is routine work, which is why it can be automated.
  3. Content and judgement — what should be written, which questions are the right ones to follow, and what do the figures mean for your specific business? Here, a human is still better.

Agencies typically sell all three components as a single package. A tool sells the first two and leaves the third to you. That’s the whole difference — and it’s also why the price difference is smaller than you might think: you’re not paying for more or less work, but for who does which part.

There’s good reason to take part two seriously. We scanned 465 Danish business websites visible in search results in July 2026 and then asked four AI engines 576 customer questions about the same companies. The result was clear: the technical setup was a strong predictor of whether a page was used as a source in the answer (p=0.000) — but said nothing about whether the company was recommended by name (p=0.988). The full analysis is available here.

In other words: the technical aspect is the ticket to entry. It is also the part that is cheapest to automate.

When should you choose an agency?

There are four situations where an agency is the right choice — even if it costs more:

  • You don’t want to write it yourself. A tool can suggest and draft content, but someone still has to decide whether it’s accurate for your organisation. If you want to be completely free of that task, you need to hire a person.
  • You want someone to ring. Synbar itself says that you’ll get direkte kontakt med Daniel eller Holger. That’s honest, and for some people, that’s the whole point.
  • Your situation is unique. Multiple brands, a complex corporate structure, and a sector with rules governing what you’re allowed to write. You can’t simply ‘subscribe’ to good judgement.
  • You’re buying several things at once. For example, the supplier quoted also sells a website, adverts and lead tracking as part of the same deal. If you need all of that, one supplier is simpler than three.

It’s worth stating clearly that we ourselves are selling the tool in this comparison. The agencies mentioned above are genuine companies that solve a real problem for the clients they’re suited to.

When is the tool the right choice?

When you simply need the technical side of things sorted out — and you’ve got no time for meetings or a marketing manager. This applies to the vast majority of smaller businesses.

Three things change when the work is automated. Monitoring becomes more frequent, so you spot a problem in the week it arises, rather than in next month’s report. Corrections are carried out rather than merely recommended — most tools in this category simply highlight the problem and leave it at that. And the price becomes predictable: from €39 per month, with no long-term contract and no hourly charges. See what the three plans include.

All paid plans come with free setup by a GEOA AI SEO employee™, worth €249. The price you start on is the price you’ll keep. We accept a limited number of set-ups per week, as each one is manually reviewed at the end.

Can’t you just do it yourself for free?

Yes, most of it. You can check your robots.txt, write a llms.txt, add structured data to the page and manually ask ChatGPT if it recognises you. We’ve written down the whole process — it takes about 45 minutes a week, and it costs nothing.

The maths is simple: 45 minutes a week is roughly three hours a month. If your time is worth more than 100 DKK per hour, both the tool and the cheapest agency represent a saving. That’s also why price is rarely the real objection — it’s the doubt and the hassle.

What can neither the tool nor the agency promise you?

That AI will start recommending your business. This applies to us, and it applies to everyone else in the category. Our own measurements show that technology and structure determine whether you’re read and cited — whilst industry, reputation and demand determine whether you’re recommended. If anyone promises you the opposite, ask for the figures to back it up.

Nor can we promise that a particular AI engine will give the same response tomorrow. Synbar puts it precisely on their homepage: vi kan ikke styre, hvad den enkelte AI svarer. It’s the most honest statement in the entire category, and it applies to all providers.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI visibility agency cost in Denmark?
From 495 to 1,000 DKK. per month excluding VAT with the smallest Danish providers. Citeret charges 495 DKK., Synbar charges 579 DKK., and SETION starts at 1,000 DKK. In Norway, comparable AEO agencies charge more: 8,000–30,000 NOK per month, according to Wud’s own price list from 2026. By comparison, a tool starts at €39.

Is a tool cheaper than an agency?
Yes, but not by as much as the difference in hours suggests. A tool starting at €39 and a small Danish agency starting at 495 DKK are closely matched. What you’re actually choosing between is frequent automated monitoring and technical corrections — or a human who also writes the content and attends the meetings.

Can a tool completely replace an agency?
No, not when it comes to content and judgement. The technical work — robots.txt, structured data, llms.txt and monitoring — can be fully automated. The decision on what should be written about you, and which issues are worth following up on, still requires a human. Many therefore use a tool for day-to-day operations and bring in a human for major changes.

How often should AI visibility be measured?
At least weekly. AI responses change when the search engines update their data, and measuring it only once a month can leave a problem unresolved for up to four weeks. This is the key practical difference between a subscription to a tool and a monthly agency report.

What should I ask before making a choice?
Four questions are key: How often are measurements taken? Are corrections implemented, or merely recommended? Which AI engines are covered? And what happens to the work if I cancel? Our review of the seven requirements examines each one in depth.
