Otterly AI is one of the most mature tools for measuring AI visibility, and let’s get the unpleasant bit out of the way first: in terms of pure measurement, they outperform us in several areas. They cover seven AI engines, track over 65 countries and languages, and their sentiment analysis — that is, how the AI talks about you, not just whether it mentions you — is amongst the best on the market.

The difference lies in what happens afterwards. Otterly tells you that your page won’t be cited and gives you a recommendation. Geoa corrects it. That is the key difference between the two products, and it determines which of us is right for you — not the price.

Choose Otterly AI if…

You have a marketing manager or an agency that can implement the recommendations; you sell in many markets; and you want the most in-depth measurement of sentiment and AI-related mentions available.

Choose Geoa if…

You’re a SMEs without a marketing department, and you need the corrections to actually be made — not just recommended in a report that ends up in a drawer.

Otterly AI

$29–489/md (~200 DKK–3.400 DKK)

  • Just measurements and recommendations — won’t fix anything for you
  • English platform and support — no Danish market or benchmark
  • 4 AI engines included in the base price — the Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are available at an extra cost
  • The $29 plan offers 15 prompts — actual usage starts at $189 per month
  • No content: no blog posts, LinkedIn entries or schema

Measurement or action — the real difference

Otterlys’ Content Audit tells you why AI is skipping over your content, and their Crawlability Checker shows whether AI crawlers can even read your site. That’s good work. But it stops at the recommendation: you’re told what needs fixing, and then you have to find someone to do it yourself.

This assumes that you DO have that person. If you have an in-house SEO manager or an agency on a subscription basis, it’s no problem at all — in which case, this recommendation is exactly what you need. If you don’t, the difference between a report and a correction is the whole difference. Geoa’s Auto Fix writes llms.txt, robots.txt and the schema directly onto your site and catches it if a theme update overwrites the fix again.

What it costs in practice

Otterly starts at $29/month, but that plan offers 15 prompts and four AI engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. If you’d like to include Claude, Gemini or Google AI Mode, these are available as add-ons from $9 per month. Their best-selling plan is Standard at $189 per month with 100 prompts.

Let’s be fair here: if you use a lot of prompts, or if you’re an agency with multiple clients, Otterly’s price per prompt is competitive, and their API, MCP server and Looker Studio connector are things we don’t have. Our point is a different one: for a single SMEs user who wants to track their own visibility and have content written, €39/month, with everything included, a very different kind of package to the $189/month for measurement alone.

Language, market and benchmark

Otterly can indeed recognise Danish prompts — it supports over 65 countries and languages. So it is not correct to say that it does not work in Denmark. The difference is that the platform, support and reporting are in English, and there is no Danish context in the figures.

Geoa is based on CVR data, so you can see how you compare with your own sector in Denmark — not just a figure in a vacuum. And for the many Danish service companies whose customers are local, we also measure Google Business Profile and local visibility. It’s not better technology. It’s simply a different market we’ve built for.

Can you use both?

Yes, and some do. Otterly for in-depth analysis and sentiment reporting to management, Geoa for getting the corrections and content out the door. The two overlap less than you might think.

For most SMEs users, however, paying for both is overkill. Base your choice on this one question: do you have the capacity to act on a recommendation? If you do, then Otterly is a powerful tool. If you don’t, then a better report won’t solve your problem.

What Otterly AI does better than us

  • Sentiment analysis — how AI talks about you, not just whether it mentions you. That’s their core competence, and they’re better at it than we are
  • A total of seven AI engines, if you purchase the Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode
  • Prompt Research — they identify the questions your customers ask the AI themselves
  • API, MCP server and Looker Studio connector — clearly better for agencies with many clients
  • 65+ countries and languages. If you sell in many markets, they’re broader than ours
