Geoa vs Setion — Who offers the best GEO for SMEs?
Setion is a recognised Danish SEO agency — rated 4.8 on Trustpilot (41 reviews, July 2026) and, according to its own claims, chosen by over 100 companies. However, Geoa comes out on top in terms of price, automation and self-service GEO — without having to wait for a quote.

Let’s clear up a misunderstanding straight away: Setion produces GEO. They have a dedicated page on it, where they mention ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot and Perplexity, and they work with schema markup, E-E-A-T and citation monitoring. We previously wrote that they only produced the classic SEO. That was incorrect, and it has been corrected.
The real difference isn’t whether we can both do GEO. It’s whether you want to buy an agency or a piece of software — and the two cannot be compared on price alone.

Agency or software — that is the real choice
Setion describes itself as a SEO agency and states that 75 per cent of its processes are AI-automated. They carry out and implement the work for you — in their own words, you don’t have to lift a finger. You get a dashboard with a work log and rank tracker, but the person at the other end is part of the product.
Geoa is the opposite: the software runs continuously, measures your visibility across five AI platforms and automatically corrects any technical issues. There’s no consultant sitting there monitoring your account. This makes us cheaper and faster, but it also means there’s no one to ring who’s already familiar with your specific industry.
The price cannot be compared on a one-to-one basis — and we’ve even got it wrong ourselves
Setion’s GEO costs 3,000 DKK as a one-off set-up fee. Their SEO subscription starts at 500 DKK per month according to their SEO page — the front page states 1,000 DKK per month, and the two figures contradict each other. We previously quoted 1,000 DKK as if it were their GEO price. That was incorrect in two respects.
In reality: if you just want to get started, 3,000 DKK is cheaper upfront than a year’s subscription with us (3,588 DKK on the Starter plan). However, the set-up is just that – a set-up; the ongoing monitoring of whether the AI has actually started mentioning you isn’t included in that price. With us, the ongoing monitoring is the whole product. Choose depending on whether you need a one-off job done or to track progress over time.
Both measure AI visibility — the difference lies in how often
Setion states that they monitor citations in AI overviews and mentions on platforms such as Perplexity. This is genuine GEO work, and they deserve credit for it. Their GEO page mentions four engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot and Perplexity.
Geoa measures five AI metrics and does so as an ongoing, scheduled scan, allowing you to track trends over time and compare your performance with your industry using CVR data. Whether you need this functionality depends on how closely you want to monitor the channel — for many businesses, a thorough one-off setup is actually enough to get started.
We can’t do this
Setion carries out link building and writes on-page text by hand. Geoa does not do this, and we have no data on backlinks whatsoever. If your problem is that nobody is linking to you, we cannot solve it.
In contrast, for organic search, we measure and optimise: rankings, clicks and CTR from Search Console, keywords just outside page 1, cannibalisation, title, meta description, H1, schema, internal links, sitemap, speed and Google Business Profile. The difference between us and an agency is no longer whether Google is included — it’s whether a human writes the text.
And they have something no software can offer: a person who knows your business and can advise you. If that’s what you’re missing, then the choice is easy — and to be honest, you should be calling them, not us.
