There are eight or more apps in the Shopify App Store that create a llms.txt file for your shop. Most are free or cost a few dollars a month; several have top ratings, and they do exactly what they promise. We can’t beat them on price, and we’re not trying to.

llms.txt is one signal out of fourteen
A llms.txt file tells AI crawlers which content on your site is important. This makes your content easier for a machine to read, and it’s a sensible thing to have. However, it does not in itself determine whether AI will mention you.
Whether you’re cited also depends on schema markup, where the content suitable for citation is written, E-E-A-T signals indicating whether others online mention you, and your local presence. The difference lies in the measurement, not the file
Most of the apps generate the file and leave it at that. They don’t tell you whether ChatGPT started mentioning your shop, how you’re performing compared to your competitors, or what happened after the update.
That is the very reason for Geoas’s existence. An app only supports one shop on one platform
Shopify apps work on Shopify. If you also have a WordPress site, a Umbraco site or a separate domain for your B2B sales, the app won’t work there.
Geoa works on Shopify, WordPress with WooCommerce and Umbraco, and GEO itself. The Score and AI metrics work on any domain — even without a plugin. If you only have one Shopify shop and have no plans for anything else, this isn’t an issue. If you have multiple sites, it’s crucial.
The Danish team
None of the apps are familiar with the Danish market. They don’t provide any industry benchmarks based on CVR data, so you can’t see how you compare to other Danish shops in your sector, and they don’t cover Google Business Profile or local visibility.
For a purely online shop with no physical presence, this matters less. For the many Danish businesses where customers also search locally, it plays a major role in whether AI even picks you out at all — and that’s part of Geoa right from the off.
