Geoa vs Knowatoa — Who’s the best at SMEs?
Knowatoa measures AI visibility across seven search engines and can write articles. Geoa comes out on top for Danish language, technical content and EU data — but not on price.
Knowatoa is the only competitor on this list that is cheaper than us at the entry level: $59 a month compared to our 299 kr. We previously stated that their prices ranged from $99 to $299. That was incorrect, and it made us appear artificially competitive on price. This has now been corrected.
They offer seven AI engines and have AI agents that can write articles. Our argument against them isn’t the price — it’s what you get on the cheapest plan, and what happens with the technical side of things.

You want the lowest monthly price; you mainly use ChatGPT and Google’s AI interfaces; and you work in English without needing support in Danish.
Choose Geoa if…
You’ll have access to all engines from the very start without having to upgrade, you’ll have technical issues resolved automatically, and you’ll be able to see how you measure up against your own sector in Denmark.

Cheaper to buy — but three engines, not seven
The Knowatoas Starter plan, at $59 a month, covers three engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. Full coverage includes seven engines — the three mentioned above plus Claude, Gemini, Meta AI and Perplexity — and requires the Growth plan at $199 a month.
It’s the same business model we’ve criticised with Profound and SearchAtlas: the attractive entry-level price covers only a fraction of the range. The Geoa measures five AI surfaces from 299 kr with no tiered pricing. But we have to be honest: if you’re only using ChatGPT and Google, $59 is a better deal than our 299 kr — and in that case, you should go for it.
You write. We correct
Knowatoa has AI agents with names — Sam, the SEO analyst, and Connie, the content writer, who can draft an article, with the option of automatic approval at scheduled times. This is a genuine content feature. Geoa also writes AI articles — these are included in all paid plans, ranging from 1 per month on the Starter plan to 30 on the Business plan, and they are generated based on the insights provided by the analytics.
However, we have been unable to find any information on the technical auto-fix feature on the customer’s own website: entering llms.txt and robots.txt, uploading the schema and detecting when a theme update reverts the changes. That is the essence of Geoa. We’re not saying they don’t have it — we’re saying it isn’t documented on their site, and that you should ask if you need it.
Language and market
Knowatoa states that you can measure visibility in any language and market you’re interested in. So measuring visibility in Danish is probably not the issue. It’s just that Danish isn’t mentioned anywhere as a product or support language, and their channels are Slack and email.
The difference is the same as with the other English-language tools: Geoa features a Danish interface, support and generated content, and the benchmark is based on CVR data, so you can see how you compare with your own sector in Denmark. It’s not better technology — it’s a different market.
What we couldn’t work out
Knowatoa’s legal entity is listed in the privacy policy as Wafris LLC. Neither the address nor the country is stated anywhere on their website. We have seen third-party sources suggest the US, but we have been unable to confirm this from a primary source, and therefore we do not state it as a fact.
The same applies to their trial period: it says ‘start your free audit’, but there’s no mention of how long it lasts or any terms and conditions. If you need to know where your data is processed before you buy, that’s a question you’ll need to ask them directly.
