Geoa vs Promptwatch — which is best suited to a Nordic business?
Promptwatch is a Dutch AI visibility platform with over 1,780 brands and agencies. They are bigger than us in almost every respect. Geoa comes out on top in terms of language, price at the top end of the market, and having analysed the Nordic market.
⚠️ Strong competition — Promptwatch is a serious player. Here’s why Geoa is still the better fit for a smaller European business.
Promptwatch is the most comprehensive platform on this list, and it’s worth noting straight away that they’re bigger than us in almost every respect. 1,780+ brands and agencies, seed funding, offices in Amsterdam and New York, eleven AI models in their catalogue, integrations with Webflow, Framer, Slack, Search Console and a range of CDNs, plus a Chrome extension, MCP and an API on all plans.
They are also an EU company — Promptwatch B.V., Amsterdam. So the GDPR advantage we have over US tools does not apply here. It is not an argument that works in our favour, so we choose not to use it.
The main differences are the language, the price at the top end and which market is being measured. Promptwatch measures globally and in English. We have analysed 1,912 Danish, Norwegian and Swedish companies and published the entire dataset.

Choose Promptwatch if…
You work in English, you want high volume (42,000 responses a month on their most expensive plan), you need Shopping Insights, ad monitoring or Data Studio, or you want to extract data via API and MCP and build on it yourself. In terms of breadth and maturity, they’re ahead of us.
Choose Geoa if…
You want the entire site in Danish, Norwegian or Swedish — including the reports for your clients. You want more websites and more articles for less money at the top. And you want figures from your own market, not a global average translated into Danish.
Geoa
From €39/month
- Four languages throughout the interface — Promptwatch is in English
- 10 websites versus their 5 projects in the most expensive plan
- 30 AI articles per month compared with their 10
- Items from as little as €39 — their Essential range offers none
- Five engines measured continuously, not four
- Invoiced in kroner, not dollars
- 1,912 Nordic companies surveyed, published with details of methodology and caveats
Promptwatch
$95–579/md
- $95–579/month — more expensive than us at all price points
- English user interface and English reports
- Four models tracked simultaneously, even at the highest level
- Essential ($95) does not include article production
- Business requires a demo booking — no self-service registration
The price: the difference is increasing
At the lower end, the difference is easy to overlook. Their Essential plan costs $95 a month, whilst our Starter plan costs €39. However, the Essential plan does not include any article production at all, whereas the Starter plan provides one article a month — so they aren’t quite the same product.
At the top end, the difference becomes clear. Their Business plan costs $579 a month and covers 5 projects, 350 prompts and 10 articles. Our Business plan costs €199 and covers 10 websites, 300 questions and 30 articles. We provide twice as many sites and three times as many articles for less than half the price — but they offer more prompts and a much higher volume of responses.
How the maths works out therefore depends on whether you have lots of customers and need to produce content, or whether you have a single brand and need to analyse it very thoroughly.
Four models at a time — even on the most expensive plan
Promptwatch lists eleven AI models: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Claude, Gemini, Meta’s Llama, DeepSeek, Grok, OpenCode and Claude Code. It is a more comprehensive catalogue than ours.
On the pricing page, it says ‘Track 4 models’ for all three paid plans — including Business at $579. So you choose four out of eleven. We track five models by default without you having to make a choice. For most people, the difference is irrelevant; if you need to follow a specific niche model, their catalogue is the right choice.
Language is the difference we notice every day
Promptwatch is in English. User interface, reports, content. If you and your customers speak English, it’s not a problem.
This becomes a problem in two situations. The first is when the report needs to be forwarded to a client who does not work in English. The second is when the content needs to be produced: an article written to match an English search pattern rarely reflects the way a Dane actually phrases a query. The entire Geoa platform — metrics, reports, articles, support — operates in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and English.
What has actually been measured in the Nordic region
This is the only place where we have something that no competitor can copy. We have assessed 1,912 Danish, Norwegian and Swedish companies and published the entire dataset: what technical readiness means in terms of whether AI uses your site as a source; why being cited and being recommended are two different things; and a ‘no-find’ result for llms.txt, which doesn’t generate any sales for us.
Promptwatch tracks data globally and in English. That’s not a criticism — it’s simply a different remit. But if you need to explain to a Danish customer what works in the Danish market, the figures are only available in one place.
Where we agree
Promptwatch itself has stated that llms.txt has not yet had any effect on AI search. We reached the same conclusion based on our own data: among 1,912 Nordic companies, the 202 that used a llms.txt were cited as a source in 43.6 per cent of cases, compared with 43.3 per cent for those without one — a difference that is not statistically significant.
Two tools, both of which make money by selling llms.txt generators, have concluded that the file does not yet work. It is worth bearing this in mind the next time someone sells it as the key to accessing ChatGPT.
What Promptwatch does better than us
- 1,780+ brands and agencies — that’s their own claim, but they’re significantly bigger than us
- Eleven AI models in the catalogue compared to our five (although only four can be tracked at a time on all levels)
- Volume: 42,000 replies per month on Business, compared with our 300 questions
- MCP and API on all paid plans — designed to allow data to be exported
- Integrations we do not have: Webflow, Framer, Slack, Data Studio, Cloudflare/Akamai/Fastly
- Shopping Insights and Ads Radar — commercial monitoring services we do not offer at all
- An EU company in Amsterdam — the same data protection as us; not something we stand to gain from
How we checked: Prices and plan quotas are taken from promptwatch.com/pricing on 30 August 2026 — the amounts are taken from the site’s own structured price data (Explore $0, Essential $95, Professional $245, Business $579, all in USD per month), whilst the quotas are taken from the rendered pricing page. Company details (Promptwatch B.V., Vijzelstraat 68, 1017 HL Amsterdam, KVK 97074756) are provided in their own footer and structured data; we have been unable to look up the KVK number in the Dutch register, as our register search does not support the ‘NL’ code — a test search for a well-known Dutch company failed in the same way. “1,780+ brands and agencies” is their own marketing claim, not a figure we can verify. The krone conversion is indicative and based on the dollar exchange rate on 30 August 2026. Our own figures are taken from content/facts.yaml. If you spot an error, please email hello@geoa.app.
