Best alternatives to NordicPulse AI (2026)

2026-08-03 · Martin Nymann · 7 min reading

Geoa, Serpier, Peec AI and Otterly AI compared in terms of price, Danish coverage and whether they’re right for you. Prices taken from the suppliers’ own websites on 3 August 2026.

Key takeaways

  • NordicPulse offers a free plan and costs up to 14,990 NOK per month — price is rarely the reason for switching; it’s the language and lack of functionality.
  • Serpier is the other Danish alternative: an Aarhus-based company, €1.4 million raised in June 2026, from €199/month — it builds your online presence externally rather than managing your own website.
  • Peec AI costs €85–425 per month and Otterly AI $29–489 per month. Both analyse the text; neither of them makes the corrections.
  • Profound recorded 11.84 billion AI citations: around 57 per cent point to the brand’s own website — so a tool that merely measures does not shift the workload.
  • No platform can promise that AI will start recommending you: the technical score predicts citations (p=0.000), not recommendations (p=0.988).

The best alternatives to NordicPulse AI in 2026 are Geoa (from 299 DKK/month, Danish language and EU data), Serpier (Danish, from €199/month), Peec AI (from €85/month) and Otterly AI (from $29/month). NordicPulse has a free plan and costs up to 14,990 NOK per month — so the question is rarely ‘too expensive’, but rather ‘am I getting value for money?’. All prices are taken from the providers’ own websites and were checked on 3 August 2026.

Why look for an alternative to NordicPulse?

Rarely because of the quality — NordicPulse is one of the strongest tools in the Nordic region in this category. The three reasons actually mentioned by SMEs relate to something else:

  • Language. The user interface and support are in Norwegian and English, not Danish.
  • Scope. It’s a comprehensive toolkit for the whole spectrum of digital marketing. If you don’t have a marketing department, having so many features is a cost, not a benefit.
  • Action. You get the metrics and the report. You or your developer will have to make the corrections yourselves.

The last point is the most significant, and it’s not a criticism of NordicPulse alone — it applies to most tools in this category. Profound’s analysis of 11.84 billion AI citations (April–July 2026) showed that around 57 per cent of the citations point to the brand’s own website. The work therefore lies with your own site — and a tool that merely measures won’t do it for you.

How much do the alternatives cost?

From free to just over 4,500 kr a month for a plan that an SME user would realistically choose. The table shows the cheapest paid plan and the top plan, as stated by the providers themselves.

Which option is right for whom?

It depends almost entirely on who will be carrying out the corrections afterwards. Here’s the honest breakdown — including when you shouldn’t choose us.

Geoa — if no one is going to do the work for you

Geoa covers the same core task as NordicPulse — measuring AI visibility across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot — but provides a prioritised action plan, Auto Fix covering the technical aspects (llms.txt, schema, robots.txt) and Danish content on top. The starter package costs 299 kr/month. Choose something else if you have a marketing team that would rather have raw data and build their own reports.

Serpier — if you run an online shop and have a distribution budget

Serpier is a Danish company based in Aarhus which raised €1.4 million in June 2026. Their agent writes and distributes content to over 200,000 publishers whilst simultaneously measuring citations in ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. It’s a different model to ours: they build visibility outside your site, whilst we focus on your own. Starting at €199/month — roughly five times the price of our Starter plan — and they focus particularly on Shopify and WooCommerce.

Peec AI — if you’re an agency with lots of clients

Peec is a German platform offering daily tracking across many countries, an API, MCP integration and Looker Studio. Ideal for those who want to build their own reporting on top of it. Additional AI models cost €30–140/month on top. No Danish interface, and no implementation.

Otterly AI — if you just want to measure

If you simply want to know how often your brand is mentioned, Otterly is the cheapest reputable option, starting from $29/month. You get brand tracking and sentiment analysis, but no tools to take action, and no focus on the Danish market.

Stick with NordicPulse — if breadth is the key

There’s also a good reason to stay. If you have a marketing manager, are comfortable working in Norwegian or English, and already use several of the tools in the package, it’s expensive and a hassle to split it into two subscriptions just to save a few hundred kroner. A switch only makes sense when you can point to something specific that the new tool does which the old one doesn’t — typically a Danish interface or the fact that corrections are actually carried out.

What can neither of them promise you?

That AI will start recommending your business. It’s worth bearing this in mind when reading marketing material in this category — including our own. We asked four AI engines 576 customer questions about 465 Danish businesses: technical configuration was a strong predictor of whether a page was used as a source (p=0.000), and had no bearing on whether the business was recommended by name (p=0.988).

A tool can therefore help you become readable, measurable and citable. Who the algorithm highlights when a customer asks a question is also determined by media coverage, reputation and demand — and no platform can sell you that. The full analysis can be found in ‘What determines whether AI mentions your company’.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to NordicPulse AI?
It depends on who is going to carry out the corrections. If you’re a SME without a marketing department, Geoa is the closest match: the same metrics, plus technical corrections, in Danish, from 299 kr/month. If you’re an online shop with a budget for external distribution, Serpier is more relevant. If you just want to track performance, Otterly is the cheapest option, starting at $29 per month.

How much does NordicPulse AI cost?
They have a free plan, and the paid plans go up to 14,990 NOK/month (~10,000 kr). Price alone is rarely the reason for switching — it’s more often the language, the scope, and the fact that the corrections aren’t carried out for you.

Is there a Danish alternative?
Yes, two, each with its own model. Geoa measures your AI visibility and corrects your own site, from 299 kr/month. Serpier is an Aarhus-based company that builds coverage with external publishers, from €199 per month. The first option is the cheapest and offers the widest coverage for SMEs; the second makes sense if you run an online shop and are willing to pay for distribution.

Can I switch without losing my data?
The history in a measurement tool doesn’t usually carry over, because each platform measures using its own prompts and methodology. You should therefore run a free measurement in parallel for a while before cancelling anything — that way, you’ll have a basis for comparison rather than a gap in the data.

Are the prices here up to date?
They have been taken from the suppliers’ own pricing pages and checked on 3 August 2026. Please note that review sites are often incorrect: in the same week, four of them listed Peec AI at $95/$245/$495, whilst the provider’s own website showed €85/€205/€425. Always check with the provider directly.
